Smt. Anupriya Patel
Smt. Anupriya Patel is a Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, from Mirzapur constituency in Uttar Pradesh. She was re-elected to the 18th Lok Sabha for 3rd consecutive term. She earlier represented Rohania constituency, Varanasi district in Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. She has served as MoS (Health and Family Welfare) in Modi 1.0 and MoS (Commerce & Industry) in Modi 2.0 Government. Smt. Patel graduated from Lady Shri Ram College of University of Delhi, holds an MBA degree from CSMJ University, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh and PG Diploma in Counselling Psychology from Amity University, Noida.
Born on 28th April, 1981 at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anupriya Patel is a wellknown face of Indian politics. Her father, late Dr. Soney Lal Patel, was founder of Apna Dal, whose untimely demise in a road accident suddenly propelled her into political space.
Smt. Anupriya Patel, face of resurgence of the underprivileged, presents a strong image of a leader who is passionate, decisive and committed towards the cause of the oppressed and marginalised sections of the society and unparalleled spirit to work towards strengthening the social justice ideology.

Prof Amit Karna

Amit Karna is a Professor of Strategy and Dean of Alumni & External Relations at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA). He also serves on the IIMA Board of Governors.
Between 2015-2018, Karna chaired the Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (now IIMA Ventures) one of the largest and most well-regarded educational institute based business incubators in Asia. He chaired the Business Policy Area at IIMA between 2017-2020, and served as Placements Chair of IIMA between 2018-2021 and Chairperson of PGPX (One Year MBA) between 2023-2026.
Karna's interests lie in the areas of strategy, technology management, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Karna is the faculty co-chair of Creative and Cultural Businesses Programme (https://ccbp.iima.ac.in/) and offers executive programmes on design thinking, innovation and corporate strategy topics. He has advised several organizations on strategy and management related issues.
Karna's research is in the fields of dynamic capabilities, innovation, and international strategy. He has presented several papers on these topics at various international conferences across the world. His research has been published in leading international journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Sloan Management Review, Journal of Management Studies, Long Range Planning, Corporate Governance: An International Review, Global Strategy Journal, R&D Management, Journal of International Management, and other international journals of repute.
Prior to IIMA, Karna was an Assistant Professor at EBS Business School in Germany between 2009 and 2014. He has been a visiting scholar at University of California at Berkeley's Haas School of Business in 2011, and at University of Sydney Business School in 2015 and 2023. He has been a visiting faculty at IESEG School of Management in France between 2012 and 2014. Karna completed his PhD in Strategy from IIMA. Prior to his doctorate, he worked with Aditya Birla Group in various managerial positions.

Manish Gupta is Co-founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Indegene. He has spearheaded the spectacular growth of Indegene from an initial Indian start-up to a globally respected technology-led healthcare solutions organization, leading the company to its Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2024. He is acknowledged as a pioneer and thought leader in the global life sciences digital transformation space. A BTech graduate from IIT-BHU, India, and a Master's in Business Administration from IIM Ahmedabad , India, he is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards- including the Young Alumni Achievers Award for Entrepreneurship from IIM Ahmedabad, India, and the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT-BHU, India. He was also a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2022. Manish is a founder of Plaksha University, and a co-founder at the IIM Ahmedabad Endowment Fund.

Prof Bharat Bhasker

Prof. Bhasker obtained his Ph.D. and master’s degree in computer science at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, USA. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering from IIT Roorkee.
Prior to accepting the position of Director, IIM Ahmedabad, he served as a Professor of Information Technology and Systems at IIM Lucknow. He has also served as Director of IIM Raipur from March 2017 to March 2022, Acting-Director of IIM Lucknow during July 2015 to November 2015, as a Mentor Director/Convener (Nodal Prof.) at IIM Sirmaur in 2015. In 2018, he was honoured with 'Best Director of Business Schools' award for transforming IIM Raipur to a great place to work and its exponential growth. He was honoured with IIT Roorkee’s Distinguished Alumnus Award for 2022. In 2023, he received the ‘Kewal Nohriya Award for Academic Leadership in Management 2023’ at an event organized by the All India Management Association. In 2024, he received Dr. Pritam Singh Transformational Leader Award at an event organized by PRISM Foundation. In 2025, he received Bharat Asmita (National Award) Acharya Shreshtha Award – Best Teacher in Management at an event organised by MIT World Peace University, Pune. He also received Honorary Doctorate (Honoris Causa) from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tamil Nadu in 2025.
Prof. Bhasker has held various visiting academic positions such as International Expert Advisor at the University of Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia, International Expert, Research Grants, at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Visiting Professor at the ESSEC Business School, Paris, France, Distinguished Professor at the Chung-Ang University, Seoul, Korea, Research Professor at the University of California, USA, Visiting Professor at the University of Texas, USA and Adjunct Faculty at the University of Maryland, College Park.
Prof. Bhasker has acquired rich industry experience in addition to his academic experience. He has held senior positions at multiple organizations such as Connectix Corp., USA, SYBASE Inc., USA, MDL Information Systems Inc., USA, Hughes STX Inc., USA, and Tata Steel Ltd., India. He has also been associated as the Chairman at the Services Sector Development Council, Bureau of Indian Standards, President at the Indian Sub-continent Decision Science Institute, USA, Chairman at the Computer Society of India, Lucknow, Chairperson of the Governing Board of the INFLIBNET Centre. Ms. Punya Salila Srivastava joined the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 1993 and is currently Secretary in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India leading initiatives aimed at improving public health and healthcare delivery. Before assumption of charge of Secretary in MoHFW, Ms. Srivastava was Officer-On-Special Duty in MoHFW, in the rank & pay of Secretary to Government of India.
Prior to joining MoHFW, Ms. Srivastava was Special Secretary in the Office of Prime Minister.
With a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in the Indian Administrative Service, Ms. Srivastava has held a range of crucial positions across various levels of governance. Ms Srivastava has served in pivotal roles, including Deputy Commissioner, Director, and Commissioner at the State and Union Territory levels. She has also made significant contributions as Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, and as Additional Secretary and Special Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office.
In addition to her illustrious professional career, Ms. Srivastava is also a distinguished alumna of St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi. She completed both Graduation and Post-Graduation in Physics at this esteemed institution, laying a strong academic foundation that has complemented her public service career. She also has Masters in Public Management Degree from University of Maryland, USA.

Mr Pankaj Patel is the Chairman of Zydus Lifesciences Ltd., a discovery-driven, global Lifesciences company with operations in 85 countries worldwide. A stalwart and a visionary, Mr. Pankaj Patel combines both research and techno-commercial expertise. He has published over 100 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and is a co-inventor in more than 64 patents. He has been conferred with Dsc. (Honoris Causa) by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.
Mr Patel is on the board of several institutions, including Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Udaipur and Invest India. He is also a Member of the Governing Board of India Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) and a Member of the CEO Advisory Committee of International Generics and Biosimilars Association (IGBA). Mr. Patel is a Past President of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). He also officiates on the board of several not-for-profit & charitable institutions. Mr. Patel is the Chairman of the GCS Foundation and the Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute. GCRI is a Regional Cancer Centre and one of the largest cancer centres of India, reaching out to the needy and underprivileged cancer patients. He also officiates as the Chairman of the Deaf and Mute School, Ahmedabad. He is also a Director and Chairman on the Board of Zydus Foundation which set up Zydus Hospital and Medical College, Dahod.
Mr. Pankaj Patel has been conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan for the year 2025 by the President of India. In recognition of his contributions to the healthcare industry in India, he has received several awards including the Acharya PC Ray Memorial Gold Medal Award and the Eminent Pharmacist Award, the India Innovator Award at the India Business Leaders Awards instituted by CNBC. For his entrepreneurial vision, Mr. Patel was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Life Sciences category.

Shri Manoj Joshi graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and holds a master’s degree in economics. A member of the Indian Administrative Service, Mr. Manoj Joshi started his career in 1989. Since then, he has handled many positions and has vast experience across the various sectors of Governance. In his bureaucratic journey, he has worked with the State Government of Kerala and the Government of India.
While in the State Government, he served as District Collector of Kozhikode and held positions in General Administration Department, Health & Family Welfare, Public Works Department and Finance Department.
In the Centre, he served as a Director in Ministry of Commerce, Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of MSME. He also worked as Counsellor in the Embassy of India in Washington during the years 2004 – 2008. Later he served as Additional Secretary / Special Secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries and held position as Secretary to Government of India in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs & Department of Land Resources.

Priyanka is a Managing Director & Senior Partner and leads BCG’s India and South East Asia Healthcare practice. She has 25 years of consulting experience and serves clients in Healthcare sector. Across her consulting career, Priyanka has served clients across the healthcare spectrum – pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and medtech companies – on topics ranging from business strategy, operations transformation, procurement, sales and marketing and organisational effectiveness. Within industrial goods – she focuses on supply chain and data-driven analytics based performance improvement opportunities.
Priyanka has worked across multiple geographies including India, US and SE Asia. She is known for her passion for client impact, pushing the performance trajectory of her clients and challenging the status-quo.

Dr Rajeev Raghuvanshi
Dr Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi has completed his Bachelors and Masters from IIT-BHU (Formerly IT-BHU), Varanasi and PhD from National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi. His PhD work is in the area of Extended Release Formulation of Vaccines, a project conceptualized to help reduce the number of injections required to be given for complete immunization. He has also done ISB-Kellogg Global Advanced Management Program.
After working for 7 yrs at National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi, Dr Rajeev moved to join the leading Indian multination, Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd., where he worked for development, registration and launch of NDDS, Generics and Branded Generics in various global markets. After having spent 12 years with Ranbaxy, he moved to another Indian Multinational, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd, Hyderabad. In his 11 years of stay with Dr Reddy’s Labs, 1rst eight years was in development of 505b(2) NDA products for US market. In this role, he successfully led the CMC team to get 6 products approved in 1st review cycle by USFDA. During this tenure, he had the opportunity of multiple face to face interactions with USFDA, MHRA and agencies from South Korea, Sweden, Romania etc. Last three years at Dr Reddy’s has been in a different role of establishing an R & D Team for markets like India, China, Russia and other Emerging Markets in the space of Pharmaceutical Product Innovation / Differentiation, registration and launches. He is widely travelled throughout the world and has worked with team members and partners in countries like USA, UK, China, Russia, South Africa, Romania, Sweden, Canada, France, Australia and Japan.
More than 200 products developed by him and his teams are currently being sold in India, US Europe and Emerging Markets. Dr Raghuvanshi has 19 granted US patents along with more than 250 published PCTs and Indian Patents. He has more than 70 publications in peer reviewed journals and has co-authored 6 chapters in books. He has been visiting faculty at NIPER – Hyderabad and IIT-BHU and has taught students of NIPER-Mohali. He is a regular speaker at different International and National conferences on Pharmaceutical Innovation. For his contribution, Dr Reddy’s Labs has twice awarded him with “Dr Reddy’s Excellence Award”.
Leadership development has been his passion and many of his team members mentored by him are holding leadership roles in Indian and global pharmaceutical companies.
After a very successful career with corporate pharma, he decided to do something completely different which is socially more impactful. Of many possibilities, he chose to work with Govt. of India and joined Govt’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, as Secretary-cum-Scientific Director of Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission on 16 Feb’21. In a short stint of 2 yrs, he changed the face of IPC and bought multiple long lasting changes impacting quality standards for medicines being sold in India. Cultural shift to more open and receptive organization scaling up the Impurity Standards inventory, harmonization of quality specification with ICH and other global standards, increasing user base for IP and IPRS, PDG membership for IP, international recognitions and scaling up of Pharmacovigilane and Materiovigilance program of India are some of them.
Govt of India has now given him the responsibility of Drugs Controller General of India. He joined the new position of 23rd Feb 2023 and working towards changes in India’s Drug Regulatory System for ease of doing business.
In last 3 years, he has done signification intervention, to change the way CDSCO works and is perceived by stakeholders. Some of the major changes brought forward are:
- Notification of Revised Schedule-M
- Waiver from T-Lic for Pre-clinical work
- Waiver from BA/BE NOC for exports
- Risk Based Inspections to improve quality of medicines being produced
- In prinicipal agreement to involve Notified Bodies in some of the Regulatory activities
- Agreement to develop internal scientific cadre in CDSCO with additional manpower
All these changes & interventions are going to have long lasting impact on Country’s Drug Regulatory System & Quality of Drugs being produced.

Dr. Sunil Kumar Barnawal
Dr. Sunil Kumar Barnwal is a distinguished 1997-batch IAS officer of the Jharkhand cadre. He holds an engineering degree and a Master’s in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore and Harvard University. With over 21 years of extensive experience, his career has spanned various key roles within the Government of Jharkhand, including serving as Secretary for the Department of Industries, Mines & Geology, and as Secretary to the Chief Minister. His contributions cover a wide array of sectors, including education, IT, industry promotion, energy, natural resource management, and governance.
He previously held the position of Additional Secretary for the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. For the past three years, he has been working with the Government of India in Delhi, focusing on public policy and management particularly related to education, IT, Industry Promotion, Energy, Natural resource management and governance.
Currently, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Authority, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
The National Health Authority (NHA) is the implementing body for two of India's flagship public health initiatives: the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). The NHA is responsible for the national rollout of both schemes, while State Health Agencies (SHAs), established as autonomous societies or trusts, manage their implementation at the state level.

Prior to this role, he led Global Corporate Marketing at Abbott’s headquarters in the United States, overseeing global brand strategy and architecture, corporate marketing, media, sponsorships, marketing excellence, and the company’s in-house creative agency.
Over a distinguished 30-year career with Abbott, Vivek has held senior leadership roles across the United States, India, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East. Combining deep commercial, strategic, and operational expertise, he has led business transformations, revitalized iconic brands, accelerated growth, and built high-performing organizations while helping shape innovative business models, strategic partnerships, and approaches that improve health outcomes in an evolving healthcare landscape.
Vivek holds a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Michigan, an MBA from the University of Illinois, and completed the Chief Marketing Officer Program at Northwestern University. He has also served as faculty for strategy and business ethics.

Prof. Amit Sheth
Prof. Amit Sheth ( LinkedIn) is an Educator, researcher, and Entrepreneur. He is the Founding Director & CEO of the Indian AI Research Organisation (IAIRO, http://iairo.ai). He is the NCR Chair & Professor of Computer Science & Engg at the University of South Carolina. He grew the university-wide AI Institute of South Carolina (#AIISC) to nearly 50 researchers as its founding director in four years. His foundational AI research includes neuro-symbolic AI, emphasising trustworthy, explainable and safe AI, with translational applications to personalised and public health, biomedicine, social good and preventing social harm, including toxicity and misinformation, smart manufacturing, disaster management, etc. He is a fellow of the IEEE, AAAI, AAAS, ACM, and APAIA for his contributions to knowledge-enhanced computing, knowledge-based techniques to transform diverse data into insights and actions, distributed workflows and data semantics, data integration, etc. His major awards include the IEEE CS Wallace McDowell Award, IEEE TCSVC Research Innovation Award, Trustee Award, 10-year award (Intl Semantic Web Conf), OSU Franklin College Alumni Award, and Ohio Faculty Commercialisation Award (runner-up). In 2022, he was listed among the top 50/80 Computer Scientists in the USA/world h-index 124). Three of the AI companies he founded involved licensing his university research outcomes, and resulted in substantial income for the universities. These include the first Semantic Web company in 1999 that pioneered technology similar to what is found today in Google Semantic Search and Knowledge Graph, a clinical NLP company and a company (http://cognovilabs.com) at the intersection of emotion and AI. He is particularly proud of his >55 PhD students and postdocs’ exceptional success in academia, industry research labs, and as entrepreneurs.

Prof. Rajesh Chandwani

Rajesh Chandwani is an Associate Professor in the Human Resource Management area and Co-Chairperson at the Centre for Management of Health Services at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He is a Fellow of IIM Bangalore. Previously, after completing his MD (Paediatrics) from Baroda Medical College, he served as a Paediatrician in public health institutions in remote rural and urban areas, primary and tertiary centres, and also rendered voluntary services for poor people through an NGO. Apart from clinical work, he was responsible for the implementation of health programs and integrated management systems in the hospital. He has published papers in national and international journals like IJHRM and IJTD. He has presented papers in various national and international conferences such as the Academy of Management, the European Group on Organisational Studies, the Indian Academy of Management, etc. He has a wide-ranging interest in human resource management issues and challenges in the Indian health care sector and HRM in the service sector. Specifically, current research interests include the use of Information technology to enhance the effectiveness of healthcare personnel and healthcare delivery, scaling up of affordable and quality healthcare services for the underprivileged.

Winselow Tucker is President and General Manager at Eli Lilly and Company (India). Tarun Jain is Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where he currently holds the Reserve Bank of India Chair in Finance & Economics.
He has served as Chair of the Economics Area and of the Centre for Management of Health Services at the Institute. Before joining IIM Ahmedabad, he was on the faculty at the Indian School of Business. He conducts research on understanding causes and consequences of human capital formation (for instance, with health and education), especially in the context of fast-growing developing countries. Gender is a topic of special research interest given that women face persistent barriers in economic advancement. His research has been funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the International Growth Centre and the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation, and published in peer-reviewed journals such the American Economic Review, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Public Economics, and Journal of Economic History. He writes extensively for media outlets such as the Economic Times, Ideas for India and Mint. The Indian Econometric Society awarded him the Mahalanobis Memorial Medal for “outstanding contributions to quantitative economics, while working in India”.
Professor Jain earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Virginia, and his BA in Mathematics and Economics from Franklin and Marshall College. Before his PhD, he was a management consultant with Charles River Associates in Washington DC and Oliver Wyman in Boston.
Professor Jain teaches the core course on Microeconomics as well as electives on Health Economics and EdTech in the MBA program, and a course on Organizational Economics in the PhD program at IIM Ahmedabad. He has written several case studies that are used by universities around the world

Ameera Shah is the Promoter and Executive Chairperson of Metropolis Healthcare Limited, which she has transformed from a doctor-led practice into the second-largest diagnostic chain across India and Africa. She has also held key leadership roles in several industry bodies, including having served as the youngest woman President of NATHealth (Healthcare Federation of India) last year, the apex organization driving healthcare policy and reforms in the country.
