Workshop Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This paper development workshop aims to help scholars determine the fit of their working manuscripts with JPIM, with the potential of subsequent submission for review at the Journal of Product Innovation Management (JPIM). This workshop is planned to be held as part of the India Management Research Conference (IMRC 2026) to be organised by Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad during December 04-06, 2026. We invite submissions that are related to the themes of new product design, development, and more broadly, innovation management. Further, we invite projects on all types of innovation, including goods, services, processes, business models, and social innovations. We intend to have multiple topics and themes that can be presented, deliberated and developed at the paper development workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Workshop Format<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This intensive one-day workshop will comprise formal presentations by participants and breakout sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to present their research, work in small groups to discuss their ideas, and receive feedback from other participants and workshop leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selection Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To participate in the workshop, scholars should submit an extended abstract of no more than 10 pages (double-spaced), including figures, tables and references. The extended abstract should include the research questions, research design and methodology, the underlying theory\/theories, findings, and the research’s contribution and positioning. The cover page should list names and affiliations for all co-authors. Research projects at any stage of development, as long as they are broadly in the area of innovation and new product development, are welcome. However, as per our experience, those scholars who had collected some part of the data and analysed it using appropriate qualitative or quantitative methods, and are in the process of writing a manuscript, benefited most from the workshop. In line with the JPIM\u2019s approach, we welcome interdisciplinary research and different research methods. We encourage interested scholars to read the recent editorial about the journal’s scope and requirements before submitting to the PDW: https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/epdf\/10.1111\/jpim.12788<\/a>. All submissions will be screened by the experts for final selection in the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Submission Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please submit your extended abstract via the conference submission portal: https:\/\/easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=imrc2026<\/a> . The submission deadline will be September 01, 2026. Further details on the venue, travel, accommodation, and agenda will be communicated to the accepted participants in due course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop will be held at IIM Ahmedabad. There is no separate participation fee for the JPIM PDW. However, participants need to register for the IMRC conference. The workshop will run for a full day (9 am-5 pm). Lunch and refreshments will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
