International conference on "Network Science in Economics and Finance"

Network science has made inroads into multiple disciplines of management. Due to its interdisciplinary nature, there is a growing interest among academicians and practitioners to integrate network research as a part of decision making.Network science provides a new set of theoretical and empirical tools to understand the mechanics and the emergent nature of the macroscopic and microscopic behavior of the markets.While the basics tenants of network theory is guided by economic and financial rationales, multiple disciplines have focused on exploring idiosyncratic issues pertaining to their respective disciplines. With each discipline in a different evolutionary path, it is important to create synergies across multiple disciplines to create a common language which may be helpful for further theory development. This conference intends to bring scholars from multiple disciplines who have made significant contribution in enriching the applicability of network theory in various disciplines of management to explore the synergies one may achieve across disciplines. The conference is an “invitation only” event and only open for a selected group of scholars. In this conference, we focus on both theoretical as well as application driven work in network theory. The topics included are (not necessarily limited to):
