Ahmedabad has direct international flights from a few cities and connects to the world well through several international airlines that fly via New Delhi, Mumbai, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha. It is connected to New Delhi and Mumbai by flights operated by most major domestic airlines as well as daily trains. The flight from Mumbai to Ahmedabad takes a little over one hour.
The campus of IIMA is a 35 minute drive from the airport and about 30 minutes from the train/bus stations. Private taxis, Uber and Ola are available at the airport and the train station. The tariff is reasonable and varies according to distance. The Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service operates buses throughout the city. Metered auto rickshaws ply throughout the day and provide an alternative mode of transport.
